The Merger of Oklahoma and Kansas... A Process in Motion

Greetings Harvester Partners! God is good... All the Time! On August 8, 2010, the Church of God in Oklahoma and the Church of God in Kansas officially became the Church of God Heartland Region... a larger, stronger, more diverse entity of Pentecostal believers whose purpose is to fulfill the Great Commission of Christ and be knit together in the unity of the Holy Spirit. Our future is bright because our faith is in Jesus and our hope is in God. We are living and ministering in changing, challenging times... and yet this is a generation that the Lord has sovereignly called people like you and me to do His work. What a privilege! Saints, as we enter September, I’m calling on all Church of God congregations to make this a month of repentance, intercession, sharing the Gospel and praying for our families and communities to come to Christ. Let’s believe God. Finally, a word about our “Heartland” merger- the process will take 6 months to a year as we bring together two bodies, two state offices, two budgets, two Councils, two Home Missions programs and more... so we ask for your patience, prayers and support. May God bless the Heartland Church of God.
